The Problem
Excess upper eyelid skin does more than just age your appearance and make you look weary. The added weight can fatigue your eyes and the rubbing caused by each blink becomes very irritating. With significant droop, the upper fields of vision can even become compromised.
The Procedure
Surgical excision of this excess skin is called blepharoplasty and is a day procedure done under local freezing over about 30 minutes for both eyes.
Minimal stitches are used and are removed in 1 week to lessen the amount of residual line which disappears with time and is already hidden within your natural lid crease. The result is a completely refreshed and younger look with less tiredness and brighter vision.
